Past Event: Accessible Conversations Reception

This event has passed.

“Accessible Conversations Reception” 6 – 9 pm located at Dixwell “Q” House, Friday April 12

Sponsored by the Yale University Library’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility (DEIA) office, this reception will cap off a week of conversations, panels, discussions, and research at the nexus of blackness, disability, and education. By providing a holistically accessible space for community stakeholders within and beyond the confines of the University, it seeks to expand conversations surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility into the future. The evening promises to be a launching pad to “re-imagine” the possibilities for how we create spaces of DEIA. Dinner will be provided.

Please note that the BIPOC Disability Poetry Slam will be held in the same location, Dixwell “Q House” Community Center, after the reception, beginning at 7 pm and ending at 9 pm.

Maximum occupancy for the reception is 100. This event is taking place at the Dixwell “Q” House (197 Dixwell Avenue)

ASL interpreters and CART services will be available.
