Past Event: Disability Storytelling

This event has passed.

“Disability Storytelling” 10 am – 2 pm located at Sterling Memorial Library International Room, Friday April 12

Disability has a diverse experiential meaning for every person with a disability. This series of round table discussions highlights intersectionality while providing a space for students, faculty, and staff of the University to speak their truth and consider the truths of others. Topics will include differential Deaf experiences, conversations with the student workers of Student Accessibility Services (SAS) office, and connecting with members of American Sign Language at Yale (ASLaY). Coffee, tea, and light refreshments will be provided.

The International Room is located on the first floor of the Sterling Memorial Library. From the High Street entrance, turn left at the security guard station and continue down the corridor. The International Room is in the far back. Signs will be available on-site to point people in the direction of the event.
