Biography
Presenting and facilitating Teach- In: Diversity in Deafness
Alexis Sye (she/they) is a senior majoring in the History of Science, Medicine, and Public Health. Alexis has personal and professional experience in disability and health advocacy, and she is interested in the ways in which historic and contemporary experiences of disability influence, and are influenced by, the fields of law and public health in the United States. After graduating in May, Alexis plans to work in the disability community before returning to their studies and enrolling in a JD/MPH program. One day, Alexis hopes to build her scholarly, activist, and personal experiences into a career in disability health justice.
