Biography

Amanda (she/her) holds an M.S. in Education with a focus on Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies, along with a B. A in English and Communications, both earned from Florida State University. She worked at the University of Miami for 4.5 years in education development before moving to New Haven to work at Yale as a Digital Accessibility Specialist.

Amanda’s interests include helping faculty integrate learner-centered approaches to best support all students, with a special emphasis on universal design for learning (UDL) and equity-minded teaching practices. As a Latine, first-generation college graduate, she consistently reflects on how her social identities intersect with her role. She is committed to fostering connections within the Yale Community to advance accessible teaching. This is Amanda’s second year co-organizing the Disability and Accessibility Symposium at Yale.
