Presenting Empowering Lives Through Sport: The Impact of Adaptive Athletics
Bob Babbitt is the Co-Founder of the Challenged Athletes Foundation and the Vice President of the Board of Directors. During the 32 years that CAF has been in existence CAF has raised over $180 million dollars and sent out over 50,000 grants to challenged athletes in all 50 states and 73 countries to help keep athletes with disabilities in the game of life through sport. Babbitt is also the Co-Founder of Competitor Magazine and Competitor Radio, the creator of the Muddy Buddy Ride and Run Series, the host of Breakfast with Bob on YouTube and the author of numerous books including ‘40 Years of the Ironman World Championship.’ Babbitt has been honored with the Willie Shoemaker Media Award by the Paralysis Project of America, the Global Triathlon Lifetime Achievement Award and been inducted into the Carlsbad 5000 Hall of Fame, the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame and the Ironman Triathlon Hall of Fame.
