Moderating Graduate and Professional Student Corner
Jiya Pandya is a scholar of transnational disability, focused on the history of South Asia and its connections to other spaces of debility and disability in the Global South. As a current PhD candidate at Princeton University, they are working on a dissertation disability welfare in postcolonial India. Jiya has published on various disability issues, in places such as Disability Studies Quarterly, Lateral: A Journal of the Cultural Studies Association, and the Visualizing the Virus Project. They are currently Director of Membership for the Disability History Association and Chairperson of the board of the Asian Americans with Disabilities Initiative.
