Presenting The (Un)fit Doctor: Technical Standards in American Medical Education at the Yale School of Medicine and the AAMC from 1915–2000
Samuel Suh is a master’s student in the History of Science and Medicine at Yale University. Situated in twentieth century America, his primary research interests include the history of medical education, history of medicinal culture, and the medical humanities. He has recently embarked on a new project that places him at the nexus of US medical education and disability histories, attempting to uncover the inextricable relationship between disabilities and the evolving views of the ‘ideal’ physician. Before coming to Yale, Samuel received his B.A.’s in Medicine, Science, and the Humanities and Spanish from Johns Hopkins University in 2023.
