Biography

Professor Shirley Lin researches and teaches critical race theory, employment, and contracts at Brooklyn Law School. Her writings explore constructions of race, disability, and gender, and their regulation in political-economic thought. She is Chair of the AALS Labor Relations and Employment Law section and is a frequent commentator on civil rights and labor and employment issues, particularly discrimination, social movements, and legal theory. Professor Lin clerked for the Honorable Denny Chin of the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and was a litigator with the Asian American Legal Defense & Education Fund and Outten & Golden LLP.
